LAUFEN leads bathroom design trends with mixed wood and ceramic in its ILBAGNOALESSI One Collection
NEW YORK – July 2015 – LAUFEN, the award-winning Swiss manufacturer of high-end bathroom solutions, leads trends using mixed wood and ceramic materials in their ILBAGNOALESSI One Collection. New vanities with high quality Noce Canaletto real wood veneer (or white high-gloss lacquer) are ultra water resistant and when paired with a white fireclay washbasin offer an elegant design that is at once visually balanced and extremely functional.
There are projects that are “normal”, right for their time. And projects that, in some way, anticipate trends, tracing a line towards not what is, but what, soon, will be. Among these, undoubtedly, that by Italian architect and designer Stefano Giovannoni, with the ILBAGNOALESSI Oneseries, product of a close cooperation between the Italian design factory Alessi and Swiss bathroom specialist LAUFEN.
The impact of the design bathroom derives from a complex balance of asymmetrical lines and fluid transitions between the ceramic, wood and glass materials. The design rejects the classic interpretation of bathroom symmetry – and yet succeeds in creating a convincing impression of visual balance and casually elegant function. Ceramics and wood, the organic and geometric, caught in a perfect embrace, achieve the illusion of oneness.
